Job Description

We are looking for a Forklift Operator to join our team for a few busy months until the end of October. The main role is  to ensure that materials are received accurately into production and finished goods are shipped accurately and on time to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform the receiving and shipment duties of raw materials, finished products, packaging products and ingredients
  • Ensure the integrity of the products
  • Ensure that the quantities correspond to the receipt / shipment slip
  • Scan labels for data entry
  • Rotate products (FIFO) according to storage standards
  • Trucks loading/unloading
  • Receive the order forms and take note of the orders to be prepared during the day
  • Pick orders according to the products indicated on the order form which requires using a pallet truck or a forklift
  • Safe operation of forklifts, including inspection and daily maintenance of the forklift, survey equipment and the shunter
  • Respect occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures, good manufacturing practices (GMP, GFSI, HACCP and C-TPAT)
  • Work safely and maintain a clean work environment
  • Comply with the established dress code and the wearing of mandatory protective equipment
  • Report any dangerous situation or potential contamination to the immediate superior
  • Perform other related duties

Salary: 23.80/hour

Main Responsibilities

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum one (1) experience in warehouse work, forklift driving and truck loading/unloading
  • Ability to pass forklift operation test and order picking assessment
  • Strong mathematic skills for quick, accurate product counts
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, and knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow HACCP & Safety standards is an asset
  • Able to work efficiently and calmly under pressure

Knowledge and skills sought

  • – Ability to lift loads up to 40 lb
  • – Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
  • – Ability to work in a cool and humid facility (4 C) and outdoors (summer and winter)
  • – Proficiency in spoken and written English and knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset
  • – High school diploma
